Events > Flames and Fog

Ancient Digimon have risen again, can you beat them? The water dinosaur Plesiomon is awaiting your challenge in the first part of this event and AncientGreymon will open his dungeon's doors later in the week. Read more about when the second part opens in the announcement in game or further down on this page.

When you beat the boss in the Hard or Expert stages, up to 5 extra stages may pop up. In those stages you will fight a weak Digimon (Gomamon for Plesiomon part, Agumon for AncientGreymon part) with regular weaknesses which always drops a byte. There are event chips available that enhance the rate of these extra stages popping up and how many bytes you receive. The S chip from the cash-shop pack is identical in its effects as the C chip.

Strategy

Lower Floors

The first 3 floors (Easy, Normal and Hard) are very easy and can be beaten with a team of MEGAs at any awakening level. For hard bring at least some MEGA level Digimon that are not weak to water skill and hit for at least neutral damage if your Digimon are not awakened.

Expert

Expert is not particularly difficult during this event. Bringing Digimon of +3 or higher that are not weak to water moves and hit for at least neutral damage should make clearing the expert stage easy enough. Especially Examon is great because it gets 1.5x ATK and can effectively wipe out all the minion Digimon.

Recommended Set Up
  • Single Target/AOE (+3 or higher)
  • Single Target/AOE (+3 or higher)
  • Single Target (+2 or higher)

Intense (AncientGreymon)

Intense has a single big boss to beat; AncientGreymon. AncientGreymon goes for the Digimon with the lowest health. Examon (DNA 1) is the most obvious pick as it hits hard and also resists fire by default. You can carry the fight with a single strong Digimon, but make sure your other party members at least hold out long enough to keep providing AP for it to attack. Poison skills can also help greatly.

AncientGreymon has the following stats:

HP ATK DEF SATK SDEF SPD
7696 8413 6408 10778 4545 66

You can use the damage calculator and put the DEF and SDEF in the custom defender side and see which of your Digimon may be most effective against it.

Recommended Digimon For Expert (Plesiomon)
Single Target

Examon - Single Target & AOE
Type: Blazing Move: Thunder

Examon receives a 1.5x ATK buff that makes his +4 wreck every floor in Expert. The Plesiomon boss also does not resist thunder so his DNA 1 skill is extremely good here.

Gankoomon - Single Target
Type: Blazing Move: Fire

Gankoomon is on of the strongest fire attackers in the game and will send any enemy Glacier Digimon out of the battle with a single signature skill.

Volcanicdramon - Single Target
Type: - Move: Fire

Volcanicdramon's ATK(+SPD) and SATK(+SPD) forms can easily beat any Digimon in the Plesiomon event stages.

LordKnightmon - Single Target
Type: Abyss Move: Fire

LordKnightmon's fearsome fist can knock out any Digimon in this event in a single hit besides the boss and even the Plesiomon should go down in about 2 hits with LordKnightmon.

ShineGreymon (Mutant) - Single Target
Type: Bright Move: Fire

ShineGreymon does not have a default weakness for water and can hit hard with his fire skill.

Gaiomon (Mutant) - Single Target
Type: Blazing Move: Fire

Gaiomon and his mutant form hit for weakness with their slightly above average skill.

Other Single Target picks

AOE

MegaGargomon - AOE
Type: Electric Move: Fire

Can go through waves quite easily and will also be upgraded along the way as you unlock fire boot chips in the second part of the event!

Magnamon - AOE
Type: Mirage Move: Fire

For those lucky enough to have pulled a high awakened Magnamon a long time ago, he can shine here and also expect to be upgraded with the fire boot chip from the second part.

Recommended Digimon For Intense (AncientGreymon)
<
Single Target

Examon - Single Target & AOE
Type: Blazing Move: Thunder

Examon can effectively tank AncientGreymon's fire skill and dish out damage with the 1.5x ATK he gets from the event.

Omegamon (Zwart) - Single Target
Type: Abyss Move: Water

Omegamon will surely put a dent in AncientGreymon, but if not resist trained it will get one-shot by AncientGreymon as well.

Leviamon - Single Target
Type: Glacier Move: Water

Leviamon hits hard but also has to be careful for being hit for weakness. If your Leviamon has fire resistance it is a great pick against AncientGreymon.

Plesiomon (Mutant) - Single Target
Type: Glacier Move: Water

Just like the earlier mentioned Digimon, Plesiomon can be good if it has fire resistance.

TigerVespamon - Single Target
Type: Electric Move: Thunder

TigerVespamon hits hard but will also take significant damage even though it's not weak to fire. With a skill boot chip it can deal with AncientGreymon quite well.

Leopardmon - Single Target
Type: Bright Move: Null

Leopardmon deals harsh damage and can also help your team if its DEF debuff lands.
