Events > Mighty Ancient Dragon

The "Mighty Ancient Dragon" event has 2 stages which are accessible at all times, 'Hard' and 'Expert'. By completing these floors you can earn exchange bytes.

During this event a special stage may open for an hour per day for the whole server at a random time. Read more about the extra stage below.

There are also chips available for this event that increase the amount of bytes you receive and boost the attack and special attack. A, B and C give 3, 2 and 1 extra bytes per fight respectively and boost ATK/SATK by 3, 2 and 1.5 respectively. A Digimon can only have 1 of the same event chip installed. The way they increase drops is as following:

(combined chip bonus) * Golden Boxes Dropped + base drop = Bytes Received

Chips DO NOT increase the rate at which extra stages trigger or the break-in Digimon will appear.

Strategy

Hard

While hard is clearable with unawakened Digimon even without chips, I would not recommend it. To be safe, either have +1 or +2 Digimon with single target skills that are not resisted or have unawakened Digimon with at least a C event chip to boost their attack. Also make sure your Digimon are max level and max friendship.

Expert

In expert, try to bring Digimon that is either a Null, Water or Thunder attacker. Here are their advantages:

The Digimon in the Expert stage are quite beefy and if you do not have chips, bringing +4 Digimon is your safest option. Especially the break-in Digimon will prove to be tough to beat with their unique resistances and high defenses. They always show up together and may be very difficult to defeat for a party not made up of +4 Digimon.

Bringing lower awakened Digimon should be fine as long as they have event chips, hit for weakness and are not going to tank most of the hits. Beware that MetalGarurumon and Imperialdramon DM use AOE moves though.

The Digimon in this event go after the lowest current HP Digimon first, so keep that in mind when choosing your Digimon.

Recommended Set Up
  • Single Target (+3 or higher with C or +4)
  • Single Target (+3 or higher with C or +4)
  • Single Target (+3 or higher with C or +4)
Lower Awakened + Tank
  • Single Target Chipped (+2 or higher B+)
  • Single Target Chipped (+2 or higher B+)
  • Tank (+4)

"Mighty"

The "Mighty" stage is quite mighty indeed, starting with a wave of all the earlier event bosses with their most unforgiving resistances. The first wave is comparable to the final wave of Expert when WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon break in so the same recommended Digimon for expert count for that.

In the last wave you will have to deal with an Imperialdramon FM with ~17K HP, so make sure to bring at least one member of your party that can poison him - luckily he is also weak to poison so it will be easier to apply. He is also neutral to darkness Digimon so VenomMyotismon and Belphemon RM are also good to use against him.

Reminder: Any poison skill with a different name stacks! So you can use poison and super poison for example to double the poison damage. Using super poison 2 times for example will only refresh the poison from that skill and not double the damage.

You can read more about the "Mighty" stage here.

Recommended Set Up
  • Single Target (+3 or higher with C+ or +3 or higher with poison)
  • Single Target (+3 or higher with C+ or +4)
  • Single Target (+3 or higher with C+ or +4)
Lower Awakened + Tank
  • Single Target (+2 or higher or B+ chip or poison)
  • Single Target (+2 or higher or B+ chip)
  • Tank (+4)
Recommended Digimon For Expert
Single Target

Omegamon (Zwart) - Single Target
Type: Abyss Move: Water

Omegamon and his Zwart version are great picks as their magical water cannon will blast away any Digimon during this event.

Plesiomon (Mutant) - Single Target
Type: Glacier Move: Water

Plesiomon's magical water move may not be as strong as Omegamon (Zwart) but it still hits hard.

Leviamon - Single Target
Type: Glacier Move: Water

Although it will have more trouble breaking through the enemy Digimon's defenses, Leviamon still hits extremely hard on any Digimon in this event.

Leopardmon - Single Target
Type: Bright Move: Null

Leopardmon has a hard hitting skill which abuses the low SDEF of the enemy Digimon and also has a chance to apply a DEF down debuff to support your team. Luckily Imperialdramon's darkness skill is also so weak it doesn't even matter if you are weak to it.

Vikemon - Single Target
Type: Glacier Move: Water

Vikemon is not particularly strong but with the help of a chip he can become a harsh hitter on any enemy Digimon in this event.

MetalSeadramon - Single Target
Type: Glacier Move: Water

MetalSeadramon may be weak, but with a chip he can do serious work on enemy minions.

EXTRA STAGE - MIGHTY

The extra stage triggers once per day (Japanese Time) in the menu and is available for 1 hour once it triggers. It can trigger at any random hour at XX:00. The stage can only be done in CO-OP mode. Once it is active, you should clearly see it in your quest list like this:

The mighty stage has 2 waves. The first one has MetalGarurumon, WarGreymon and Imperialdramon DM and the last wave has a single boss - Imperialdramon FM. Imperialdramon has a lot of HP and is weak to poison so make sure to bring Digimon with poison skills. Any poison skill with a different name stacks - so you could use poison and then super poison for example to make him lose 20% of his HP in between turns! Imperialdramon FM's stats are as follows:

HP ATK DEF SATK SDEF SPD
17816 7017 5420 4519 5265 129
