Events > Trials of the Dragon Emperor

The Trials of the Dragon Emperor event has 6 stages with varying difficulties. By completing these floors you can earn ranking points. Every time you reach a new reward milestone you will receive a reward in your inbox and at the end of the event you can earn ranking rewards based on how your point total stacks up against other players. Scroll to the rewards section to see when you will receive a reward. The hardest difficulty 'Emperor' is a stage that you can only attempt solo.

There are also chips available for this event that increase the amount points you receive and status boosting chips which can be earned in the previous event. You can calculate the amount of points you earn per round with Growlmon's point calculator.

The posterboy of this event is Examon

Strategy

Lower Floors

The first 2 floors (Easy and Normal) are very easy and can be beaten with a team of MEGAs or Ultimates. In Hard you want to bring MEGA Digimon that at least hit for weakness, otherwise you may run into trouble.

Expert

Expert is quite easy to clear with a decent set up. To make this as quick as possible you can bring strong AOE Digimon such as Millenniummon or Machinedramon. Bringing unawakened Digimon is not recommended. Bringing at least one single target hitting Digimon that hits at least neutral on Examon is highly recommended. BlueMeramon goes for lowest HP while others go for highest DEF.

Recommended Set Up
  • Single Target (+2 or higher)
  • Single Target/AOE (+2 or higher)
  • Single Target/AOE (+2 or higher)

Intense / Dragon Emperor

The intense and Dragon Emperor are similar in floors and are very easy to clear with a water hitting Digimon. AOE Digimon are pretty lackluster in this stage filled with a few big bosses. Bringing thunder hitting Digimon is also fine, just make sure you can beat Brakedramon if you bring Digimon like TigerVespamon.

The stage is relatively easy for +3's or higher as long as you make sure you don't get hit for weakness by the bosses. Putting a status specialty chip on it which can be easily obtained from the Brakedramon/Slayerdramon event should make Intense a breeze.

Recommended Set Up
  • Single Target (+3 or higher at least neutral hitting)
  • Single Target (+3 or higher at least neutral hitting)
  • Single Target (+3 or higher at least neutral hitting)
Recommended Digimon For Intense / Dragon Emperor
Single Target

Omegamon Zwart - Single Target
Type: Abyss Move: Water

Omegamon Zwart hits HARD on all the bosses, exploiting their low SDEF and water weakness. The best for this event. Especially dangerous with the specialty chip.

Leviamon - Single Target
Type: Glacier Move: Water

Leviamon also wrecks all the bosses but does so with an ATK based move which is slightly less effective than Omegamon. Still one of the best for this event.

Plesiomon - Single Target
Type: Glacier Move: Water

Also hitting with a magical attack, Plesiomon and its mutant version can blast away any boss.

Vikemon - Single Target
Type: Glacier Move: Water

Vikemon can be very strong with a status specialty chip. Even without it, hitting for weakness on every boss makes him very useful.

Dynasmon - Single Target
Type: Mirage Move: Null

Back on the list again, Dynasmon can take a hit and heal it all back. A good pick but not as fast as a water hitter.

Leopardmon - Single Target
Type: Bright Move: Null

Hitting hard with its magical move it can also help your team with DEF down debuffs. With a specialty chip it can dish out extremely high damage by itself too.
